Brief Reviews: "Following a personal introduction, I turned to Bernie for basic bookkeeping assistance with my business. I have a small office with no employees other than myself and a basic business checking account and two credit cards. My needs were simple, a basic P&L Quickbooks file that kept track of expenses, etc. Bernie reassured me that my needs were simple and straight forward. My receipts were already organized and not jumbled in some shoebox. Her quoted rate was $50.00 per hour. Well, I should have asked for a contract or been more specific about what my expectations were in regards to fees because I got hit with a total bill of $1975.00 to organize 4-months of records. That breaks down to $493.75 per month. For that cost I could have hired a CPA and had money left over for gas and a latte. I expressed my disappointment, however there was no attempt to explain the fees or arrive at a more equitable solution. FYI- I would look elsewhere for your needs."
